My Rating:

ATV spreaders are one of the best new innovations in the field of ground maintenance and farming. Because the hard work of sowing seeds and spreading fertilizer is done for you, you can complete more work with less physical exertion making a broadcast spreader a highly useful piece of equipment to have in your arsenal. As their popularity has grown, the market has become saturated with different ATV spreader models so before buying one it is important to do your homework and not make a beeline for the cheapest model available.

The Buyers ATVS100 100 Pound 12 Volt Electric ATV Broadcast Spreader with Rain Cover is an excellent example of what an ATV spreader should be. It has an ergonomic design, an abundance of useful features, and a one year limited warranty from the manufacturer. The affordable price tag is just a bonus. Read on to find out more about what this spreader model has to offer!

  • The Buyers ATVS100 works well for commercial applications.
  • Although it is designed to work with four wheelers, this model is also compatible with many larger ATV models.
  • Users have praised its simple assembly.
  • The lightweight design makes it easy to maneuver when it is empty.

  • The spreader lacks a front shield, which causes it to throw material all over the ATV and the driver.
  • Users expected the plastic components of the spreader to be of higher quality.

  • The hopper is made from a rust proof poly blend to ensure its durability and extend its lifespan.
  • The manual feed gate regulator is designed to be durable and simple to use.
  • Direct linkage controls eliminate the possibility that the cable might break or stretch.
  • A durable rain cover is included to protect the material that is being sown.
  • This spreader is equipped with a powerful, 12V engine to ensure that all material is evenly distributed.

Although it was initially designed for homeowners with large tracts of land, the Buyers ATVS100 100 Pound 12 Volt Electric ATV Broadcast Spreader with Rain Cover has become popular for use in commercial settings, particularly among farmers.

Regardless of how you intend to use it, the Buyers ATVS100 spreader is a great product to have at your disposal. It operates off a 12-volt battery, which enables it to run on the most uneven surfaces without affecting its performance. One of the most thoughtful features this model boasts is its included rain cover. Made from a durable poly blend, the rain cover will protect the material being sown from all types of inclement weather, including rain. It will even keep rock salt, sand, and other melting agents dry in snow.

A considerable amount of thought has gone into the design and execution of this broadcast spreader. For example, in addition to its powerful motor, it is smartly designed with direct linkages that eliminate the chances that the control cables will break or stretch out over time. Another highly praised feature of this model is its feed gate control. This component enables the operator to carefully control the amount of material that is being spread. Because it must be manually operated, it provides the user with more controlled and consistent spreading of materials.

The Buyers ATVS100 100 Pound 12 Volt Electric ATV Broadcast Spreader is a large capacity spreader. It can accommodate up to 100 pounds of additional weight – thanks to the generously sized hopper and 12V engine. The large capacity allows users to get jobs done more quickly. Even with its large size, this model weighs 19 pounds when empty, which makes it simple to store and maneuver around as needed.

As with any product, this broadcast spreader has its own set of cons. The primary complaint that users have had with this product is that its design lacks a front shield. Without the shield, the hopper has a tendency to throw some product on the ATV itself and the driver. Around a third of reviewers have found this problem exceedingly annoying. A small percentage of users have stated that the plastic components of the spreader seem cheap and flimsy. Buyers were expecting a higher quality of materials; however, it is worth pointing out that none of these reviewers have complained that the perceived quality affected the spreader’s performance.
